After discorvering writing as a catharsis while suffering from severe depression caused by anti-convulsant medications, Michael began utilizing his English degree from Rutgers University to help others in their academic pursuits. Michael became a private academic consultant and founded his own company to help his clients pursue their educational goals. Michael lives in Manville, NJ with his wife, Lunden, sons Michael and Matthew, and two dogs Pi and Quinn. His first novel, "The Threads of Jericho" reached #107 on Amazon and was #1 in its three subcategories: Mythology and Fairy Tales, Magical Realism, and Folklore. It was #1 in New Releases during its initial release as well as #6 in Sci-fi and Fantasy. It also achieved #34 on Barnes and Noble.
